01. Event Brief

Google I/O 2026 brought together developers, partners, and technology enthusiasts at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). Yash Infosolutions LLP was entrusted with designing and deploying a scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise network infrastructure across Conference Centre and Hall 2 environments. The deployment was engineered to support thousands of connected devices, multiple breakout sessions, live demonstrations, registration systems, and dedicated wireless environments. The infrastructure included dual internet backbones, enterprise-grade switching, high-density Wi-Fi, and VLAN-based network segmentation.

02. THE CHALLENGE

Google I/O 2026 required a highly resilient, enterprise-grade network capable of supporting thousands of concurrent users across multiple conference halls, breakout rooms, community spaces, exhibition areas, and operational zones. The infrastructure needed to deliver secure, low-latency, and uninterrupted connectivity for live demonstrations, keynote sessions, registration systems, partner showcases, creator studios, and event operations while ensuring scalability, redundancy, and seamless user experience throughout the venue.

03. Our Scope of Work

Yash Infosolutions LLP was entrusted with designing, deploying, and managing the complete enterprise networking infrastructure across the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).The network infrastructure was designed to deliver seamless, enterprise-grade connectivity across the event venue through a comprehensive deployment strategy. This included enterprise Wi-Fi coverage with high-density wireless design to support large numbers of concurrent users, dedicated LAN connectivity for critical systems, and reliable networking across the Conference Centre and Hall 2.  The deployment covered the Conference Centre—including Jacaranda, Gulmohar, Cassia, Lagoon, Protocol Lounge, Bougainvillea, Hibiscus, and Parijatha—as well as Hall 2, Community Lounges, Sandbox Areas, Meetups, Partner Showcase, Creator Studio, Vibe Lounge, Gen Latte, House of Pixel, Nano Banana, and the Googler’s Back-of-House (BOH) area. The deployment also provided dedicated connectivity for registration counters and help desk operations, ensuring smooth attendee management. Careful bandwidth planning and optimization, VLAN-based network segmentation, secure wireless access implementation, and continuous network monitoring with redundancy planning ensured a secure, scalable, and highly available network throughout the event.

04. THE SOLUTION

Enterprise Network Architecture

Yash Infosolutions designed and deployed a resilient enterprise networking infrastructure powered by dual 6 Gbps internet circuits, providing high availability and uninterrupted connectivity across the venue. The core backbone was built using MikroTik CCR1072 and CCR2116 routers, Cisco Nexus core switches, Cisco distribution switches, a Ruckus SmartZone Controller, UniFi Cloud Gateway, and Netgear PoE+ switching infrastructure. This redundant architecture ensured seamless traffic distribution, scalability, and fault tolerance across all event zones.

High-Density Wireless Infrastructure

A high-density enterprise Wi-Fi solution was implemented to support thousands of concurrent users throughout the Conference Centre and Hall 2. Wireless coverage was delivered using Ruckus R650 Enterprise Access Points and UniFi Enterprise Wi-Fi 6E Access Points, managed through centralized wireless controllers for seamless roaming, optimized RF performance, and efficient client load balancing. Capacity planning was tailored for each workshop and breakout venue, with Jacaranda supporting over 500 concurrent users, Gulmohar over 300 users, Cassia over 150 users, and Lagoon designed for high-density wireless deployments. The infrastructure supported attendee devices, speaker systems, scanners, livestream equipment, podium consoles, and operational devices without compromising network performance.

Bandwidth Planning and Optimization

Detailed bandwidth planning was carried out for every functional area, including registration counters, workshop halls, speaker lounges, community lounges, partner showcase areas, sandbox environments, creator studios, shared Wi-Fi zones, and dedicated LAN environments. Network capacity was allocated based on anticipated user density, application requirements, and device types, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity during keynote presentations, breakout sessions, live demonstrations, and registration activities.

Network Segmentation and Security

To ensure secure and efficient traffic management, dedicated VLANs were implemented for Expo Common, Sandbox, Community Lounges, Jacaranda, Gulmohar, Cassia, Registration & Help Desk, Bougainvillea, Protocol Lounge, Hibiscus, Parijatha, and dedicated LAN services. Multiple SSIDs, role-based access controls, secure administrator authentication, strong password policies, controlled access to networking and CCTV infrastructure, regular firmware updates, and physical protection of network equipment were incorporated into the design. This approach provided logical isolation between attendees, exhibitors, speakers, organizers, and operational teams while enhancing network performance, simplifying troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise-grade security.
